Here’s a fun fact to get this started - ‘yoga’ literally means ‘union’ in Sanskrit. The union of body and spirit. The union of heart and mind. The union of body and...body? Hey! It is widely known that yoga can give you greater flexibility, boost body confidence, improve your blood flow, tone muscles, increase your energy levels, and is a surefire way to release stress and calm the mind. And yogis and experts alike believe that it just might put some va-va voom into your sex life.Which is why we bring you yoga positions that also double up as sex positions! Because what better way to get fit than doing it while you do it?
Here’s a great way to bring some variety to the room if you’re sort of done with doggy style. To get into the Marjaiasana pose, get on all fours with shoulders directly above wrists and hips over your knees. Leaving a lot of room open for your partner to take you from behind. When you moan and stretch your head up, you’re the cat and when you bow down with desire, you’re the cow!
All you have to add to the regular butterfly pose is a recline and you would have nailed Supta Baddha Konasana aka the reclining butterfly! With your legs bent and stretched apart, you’ll be working your inner thigh, opening your hips for a wider range of motion. As your partner gets on top of you, you’ll see that this position allows more proximity and relaxation.
If you can hold the Setu Bandha or Glute Bridge position for a few minutes, you’re in for a treat! Get your partner to support your waist so you can last longer. If you’re up for something kinky, this position is your answer! First get the Sanskrit name right - Tri Pada Adho Mukha Svanasana and then get into the downward dog position and lift one leg up.
